Our Projects

At Innovaplast, our projects bridge advanced biotechnology research with real industrial applications. Through national and international collaborations, we develop and scale sustainable materials based on Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA), including Polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) and Polyhydroxybutyrate-co-hydroxyvalerate (PHBV).

From laboratory research to pilot-scale production, our work focuses on creating high-performance, biodegradable solutions that support the transition towards a circular and bio-based economy.

ReTREEaSURE

The ReTREEaSURE project is a comprehensive circular bioeconomy project aimed at converting Europe's forestry residues into plastic alternatives (e.g., PHB) and valuable chemicals by gathering them sustainably through the integration of artificial intelligence, mobile logistics solutions, and advanced biotechnological methods
